Pinedale Aquatic Center Guide: Hours, Day Passes, Lap Swim, and Classes
By Sarah Jenkins
The aquatics complex divides into two primary zones: an active recreation area and a structured competition facility. Serious swimmers rely on the 25-meter competition lap pool, which typically maintains six lanes set at roughly 80 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Early morning lap swim schedule blocks run on weekdays starting at 5:30 AM, providing predictable water time before the school district sports schedule takes over the lanes in the late afternoon. Additional midday and evening open lap blocks accommodate casual swimmers.
Adjacent to the lane lines sits the leisure pool and water slide, maintained at a warmer 86 to 88 degrees. The leisure pool incorporates a zero-depth entry ramp for small children, water fountains, and interactive play fixtures. Dominating the leisure zone is a multi-story spiral water slide that opens during afternoon open-swim periods and on weekends.
For therapeutic recovery and joint warmth after a day in sub-freezing weather, the deck includes a spacious co-ed hot tub that regularly operates at 102 degrees. An adjacent dry sauna provides dry heat recovery, accessible to adult pass holders and fitness members during open operating hours.
Structured water programs round out the department. Year-round youth swimming lessons follow certified Red Cross progression tracks, guiding infants through competitive prep. For low-impact cardio, the facility hosts structured aquatic fitness classes, including water aerobics and deep-water resistance training that draw strong morning participation from older adults across the county.
