Summit Avenue Road Closures & Race Schedules: Complete Twin Cities Marathon Weekend Navigation Guide

Learn why Summit Avenue Road Closures & Race Schedules: Complete Twin Cities Marathon Weekend Navigation Guide is drawing attention with our thorough coverage.

Summit Avenue's layout reflects a legacy designed for carriages rather than thousands of marathon runners and modern city bypass traffic. Successfully moving through St. Paul on marathon Sunday comes down to respecting the closure schedule and choosing highway bypasses over local shortcuts. By keeping off the residential streets between Grand and Marshall, motorists avoid prolonged gridlock while allowing runners to navigate the historic climb past the Cathedral undisturbed.
