Proof You're Being Tracked: How to Disable Tiktok Profile View History Step-by-Step
Disabling this feature takes immediate effect across all linked sessions. You do not need to log out, clear your mobile cache, or wait for an update cycle. Use either of the two pathways below depending on your app version.
Method 1: The Direct Eye Icon Shortcut
Open TikTok and tap the Profile tab in the bottom-right navigation bar. Look at the top banner adjacent to your username. If active, you will spot an outline of two footsteps or an eye icon. Tap that symbol. A drawer pulls up showing your recent visitors alongside a small gear icon in the top right. Tap the gear icon, toggle Profile view history to the off position, and close the drawer. The tracking stops immediately.
Method 2: The Settings and Privacy Menu Path
If your app interface does not display the eye icon, navigate manually:
1. Tap the three-line hamburger menu in the upper-right corner of your profile.
- Select Settings and privacy.
- Tap Privacy, then scroll to the bottom section labeled Interactions.
- Select Profile views.
- Toggle the slider switch to Off (the button turns gray).
Once toggled off, you enter an Anonymous Browsing Mode. You can freely visit any public profile on the platform without leaving your username behind.
