Media, Pennsylvania Youth Sports 2026: Season Updates, League Signups, and Schedules
By Robert Thorne
When school dismisses in June, municipal parks and recreation programs step in to fill the childcare and athletic void. Media Borough’s Recreation Board, alongside Upper Providence and Middletown departments, runs weekday morning sports camps catering to elementary and middle school students.
Summer sports camps in Media, PA cover multi-sport samplers, combining kickball, dodgeball, basketball, and track, alongside sport-specific development camps. The local community center and area school gyms host Media youth basketball camps focused on shooting mechanics and defensive positioning throughout July.
Golf instruction has also surged in suburban Delco. Junior clinics hosted near Media at facilities like Paxon Hollow and nearby driving ranges introduce younger players to putting, iron play, and course etiquette. These four-day summer camps typically run Monday through Thursday mornings, offering small student-to-instructor ratios of roughly 6 to 1. Registration for summer municipal camps opens systematically on March 1, 2026, with non-resident registration opening two weeks later.
