Fact-Checking Teas 7 Prep: Which Practice Tests and Answer Keys Actually Match the Real Exam?
The current iteration of the test introduced five distinct question formats: multiple choice, multiple select, fill-in-the-blank, ordered response, and hotspot items. Any prep tool that relies strictly on standard four-choice multiple-choice drills fails to deliver representative practice.
Our audit examined four dominant industry options: the official ATI study manual alongside Assessment B/C online practice tests, NurseHub, Mometrix's Secrets manual, and Pocket Prep. We cross-referenced their problem design, reading passage density, and question rationale against the technical blueprints of the exam.
The findings revealed sharp discrepancies. While third-party publishers advertise thousands of practice questions, sheer volume often masks low structural alignment. Mometrix provides encyclopedic text reviews, yet its print practice problems lean heavily on recall rather than application. In contrast, digital question banks from dedicated platforms better replicated the on-screen digital interface, though several missed the specific wording style that ATI uses to frame experimental design questions.
