Cvs Advent Calendar 2025 Review: Are Drugstore Countdowns Actually Worth It?
By Sarah Jenkins
Online discussions in communities like Reddit's r/DrugstoreMUA and seasonal bargain groups reflect a sharp division in expectations. Consumers who evaluate drugstore advent calendars as serious beauty investments express predictable disappointment.
"The plastic packaging on the unbranded bath sets is twice the volume of the product itself," noted one Reddit user reviewing holiday retail drops. "The bath salts are basically two tablespoons of colored Epsom salt."
Conversely, shoppers viewing these items as low-stress holiday rituals express high satisfaction. Parents buying the confectionery and novelty boxes for children praise the accessibility. A recurring theme in online forums involves dismantling the calendars upon purchase: bargain shoppers frequently unbox the multi-piece sets to use the individual components as separate stocking stuffers for colleagues or family members, effectively slashing their holiday gifting budget.
Shoppers also praised the convenience of pairing physical calendars with CVS photo ornaments created at in-store kiosks. The combination allowed families to assemble personalized, tangible holiday gift sets for grandparents or close friends for less than $25 total.
