Does Penn Badgley Support Lgbtq Rights? Inside the Viral Debates and Real Views
By Alexander Ross
The clearest window into an artist's personal values is the platform they curate themselves. Badgley co-hosts the hit podcast Podcrushed alongside Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari, exploring the awkwardness, heartbreak, and identity struggles of middle school and adolescence. The podcast has deliberately stood out as an open, inclusive space for queer stories.
When hosting LGBTQ+ guests such as Reneé Rapp, Lukas Gage, and various queer writers, Badgley consistently approaches their coming-out stories, gender explorations, and youth struggles with thoughtful, supportive curiosity. Rather than treating queer identity as a promotional gimmick or skirting around it, the hosts create an environment where guest experiences are treated with complete normality and emotional depth. These long-form, unscripted discussions offer clear proof of his genuine allyship, showing how he interacts off-camera without a publicist feeding him canned lines.
