India Eisley Fact-Check: Breaking Down Her Latest Roles, Projects, and Rumors
By Maya Lin-Takahashi
Q1: Who are India Eisley's parents, and did they assist her early career?
A1: Eisley is the daughter of English actress Olivia Hussey and American rock musician David Glen Eisley. While she grew up around film sets and gained early insight into the entertainment business, she landed her major breakthrough roles through competitive casting auditions, deliberately seeking roles that diverged from her mother's historical-drama legacy.
Q2: Will India Eisley reprise her role as Eve in another Underworld film?
A2: There are no plans for Eisley to return to the franchise. While 2012's Underworld: Awakening positioned her character as a primary hybrid protagonist, the series concluded its cinematic run with 2016's Underworld: Blood Wars, in which Eisley did not participate.
Q3: What was Eisley's most critically lauded performance?
A3: Critics widely consider her portrayal of Fauna Hodel in TNT's I Am the Night (2019) to be her finest dramatic work to date. Directed by Patty Jenkins and co-starring Chris Pine, the miniseries earned Eisley widespread acclaim for her nuanced handling of a complex, racially sensitive true-crime narrative.
