Yozoma E-Bike Teardown: Real Photos and Unfiltered Build Quality Revealed

An in-depth perspective on Yozoma E-Bike Teardown: Real Photos and Unfiltered Build Quality Revealed, bringing you valuable insights.

The foundation of the chassis is 6061 heat-treated aluminum tubing shaped with square and ovalized cross-sections. We wiped the frame joints with solvent and inspected the primary welds beneath high-intensity workshop lighting, focusing on the bottom bracket junction, headtube, and rear dropout stays.

The robotic TIG welds display consistent fish-scale puddling without visible porosity or cold-lap defects. Penetration around the headtube gusset appears thorough, showing that the factory maintains decent weld parameters on high-stress junctions. Finishing work, however, shows clear cost cutting. Several frame pass-through holes for internal cable routing leave raw aluminum edges exposed. Without rubber grommets in place, shifting and brake cables will gradually rub against bare metal during daily vibration.

Folding mechanism durability depends on clamp alignment. The mid-frame folding hinge uses a cast-aluminum over-center toggle latch secured by a secondary plastic slide lock. In our cyclic load testing, opening and closing the hinge 200 consecutive times produced no measurable pin elongation. The hinge pin measures 8 mm in hardened steel, providing enough sheer resistance for heavy riders. However, the internal mating faces lacked grease, creating an audible creak under hard pedaling until we applied a generous layer of marine-grade synthetic lubricant.
