The grief across Hollywood extended far beyond the Will & Grace dressing rooms. Across social feeds and public statements, cast members from Burrows’ other landmark productions shared their memories. Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, and Matt LeBlanc recalled Burrows’ foundational guidance during the earliest days of Friends in 1994. Burrows famously took the six young actors to Las Vegas before the pilot aired, warning them that the trip would be their final taste of complete anonymity.

Ted Danson and Kelsey Grammer, whose careers were fundamentally shaped by Burrows on the set of Cheers, released joint reflections honoring his warmth and sharp wit. Danson pointed out that Burrows was the undisputed captain of the multi-camera format, inventing modern sightlines that transformed flat television studios into living, breathing public spaces. The tributes underscored that Burrows did not simply direct episodes; he mentored entire generations of comedic actors who dominated network television for over forty years.
