Who Voices the Fish in the New Cat in the Hat? Cast Reveal and Trailer Secrets
By Chloe Bennett
Every classic story requires a boundary line, and in the world of Dr. Seuss, that boundary is forged from blown glass and filled with tap water. The Fish remains one of the most recognizable figures in 20th-century literature precisely because his warnings are consistently ignored. He is the ultimate spectator to a disaster he cannot prevent.
By handing the bowl to Bowen Yang, the 2026 production revitalizes that dynamic with sharp contemporary timing. Backed by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation's expressive visual style and an ensemble cast featuring Bill Hader and Xochitl Gomez, the production balances vintage storytelling with modern comic flair. When the living room tilts, the furniture flies, and the Cat balances the entire world on a single toe, the little orange fish will once again be there to shout the truth that everyone else is too distracted to admit.
