Who Plays Moon Knight? Oscar Isaac's Mcu Career, Midnight Sons Teases, and What's Next
By Sophia Al-Mansoor
If Isaac has his way, Moon Knight’s return will bypass conventional superhero conventions entirely. Across several convention panels and press interactions, the actor repeatedly brought up the Midnight Sons, Marvel’s premier occult faction. In the comics, this squad unites supernatural outcasts to tackle eldritch terrors, demonic threats, and underworld skirmishes that standard heroes avoid.
The pieces for this coalition already exist across the MCU. Werewolf by Night, Elsa Bloodstone, and Man-Thing established the supernatural perimeter, while Mahershala Ali's Blade project remains in development. Integrating Moon Knight into this roster gives Isaac an ensemble setting with darker themes, bloodier practical action, and genuine genre ambition. Isaac has pointed out that placing Marc Spector alongside other morally compromised figures offers far more comedic and dramatic tension than dropping him into a sterile room full of costumed Avengers.
