Who Is the Guy in the Viral Dancing Meme? the Internet's Latest Obsession Explained
By Chloe Bennett
Meme life cycles are notoriously short. Most viral audio clips evaporate within two weeks, replaced by whatever new audio hook gaming platforms or talent agencies push into automated feeds. Yet the dances pioneered by creators like Jeff Obeng and Benjamin Aidoo continue circulating years after their upload.
They survive because their appeal rests on human talent rather than digital irony. The visual rhythm of a person executing complicated footwork with effortless charm resists algorithmic decay. As long as Friday afternoons bring relief from exhausting workweeks, Jeff Obeng’s energetic sprint out of that moving passenger door will remain the web’s favorite way to celebrate life.
