Who Is Cal Murray? Untangling Chad Michael Murray’s Tv Persona from Bill Murray’s Son
By Chloe Bennett
The curious case of "Cal Murray" is a textbook case of modern internet shorthand creating a celebrity who does not exist. On television screens, Chad Michael Murray continues to draw loyal audiences under the character name Cal Jones. Meanwhile, in collegiate arenas, Luke Murray directs a new era of Boston College basketball while his brother Caleb lives out of the media spotlight.
Understanding the distinction saves fans and sports followers from unnecessary confusion. If you are watching a scenic Canadian drama about second chances and small-town secrets, you are watching Chad Michael Murray. If you are tracking the Murray family's actual real-world achievements, look toward the sidelines of ACC basketball or the private lives of Bill Murray’s six sons.
