What Really Happened to Kevin Ball in the Shameless Us Series Finale?
By David Miller
Selling The Alibi Room proved to be Kevin's final, hardest hurdle. For 11 seasons, the tavern stood as the unofficial town square of Canaryville. It was the place where schemes hatched, bail money was collected, and cheap boilermakers were poured from morning until closing time. A slick corporate buyer offered Kevin and Veronica cash, but it meant turning the neighborhood refuge into a sterile hipster taproom.
Kevin could not stomach kicking out the barflies who paid his mortgage for over a decade. In the series finale, Kevin pitched an unconventional sale directly to Kermit and Tommy. The two longtime barstool fixtures, who had spent decades bickering on adjacent stools, took over ownership as partners. The agreement secured Kevin and Veronica their moving capital while protecting the dive bar's soul.
