What Font Is the Summer I Turned Pretty? Visual Comparison and Canva Dupes
By Alexander Ross
Q1: What is the exact title font on The Summer I Turned Pretty poster?
The official title card uses a custom, studio-modified display serif closely derived from high-contrast Didone typefaces, primarily sharing glyph anatomy with Cinzel Decorative, Playfair Display, and Ogg Roman.
Q2: What is the best free Canva font to match the series aesthetic?
For the primary serif, use Tan Pearl (Pro) or Playfair Display (Free). For the handwritten script overlay, use Jonathan, Amsterdam Four, or Brittany Signature.
Q3: Can I legally use these fonts on products I sell on Etsy?
Yes, provided you choose typefaces licensed for commercial distribution. Fonts from Google Fonts (like Playfair Display and Cormorant Garamond) carry the SIL Open Font License, allowing commercial sales. Always check specific license tiers when purchasing script fonts from independent font foundries.
