U of a Game Today Guide: Game Time, Tv Channel, Parking, and Tailgate Info
By Maya Lin-Takahashi
The shorthand "U of A" represents two distinct football programs with passionate regional followings and national broadcast commitments. In the desert Southwest, the University of Arizona Wildcats compete in the Big 12, drawing massive crowds to central Tucson. In the Ozarks, the University of Arkansas Razorbacks run through SEC territory, packing Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Determining which team holds the spotlight on your screen starts with checking conference rivalries and home schedules.
Broadcast rights depend directly on these conference affiliations. Arizona home games fall under Big 12 television agreements negotiated with ESPN and Fox Sports. Arkansas games belong to the SEC broadcast portfolio, managed exclusively by ESPN, ABC, and SEC Network. Knowing which conference hosts the game immediately narrows down which channel package or mobile app you must launch before the opening coin toss.
