'This Time I Choose Mr. Mafia' Full Cast & Character Breakdown Revealed
By David Miller
The plot synopsis hinges on a ruthless betrayal and a supernatural reset. In her original life, female protagonist Clara Vance sacrificed her inheritance, dignity, and family connections to support her fiancé, Julian. Her loyalty was met with outright cruelty: Julian orchestrated her financial downfall and abandoned her in favor of her manipulative stepsister, Victoria. Moments before her demise, Clara realizes that the ruthless syndicate kingpin Alexander Falcone, a man she had spent years avoiding, was the only person who attempted to shield her from the trap.
Clara wakes up five years in the past on the exact evening her initial engagement was finalized. Armed with vivid memories of Julian's deception, she makes an immediate, irreversible pivot. At the formal engagement gala, she rejects Julian publicly and announces her alliance with Alexander Falcone.
The narrative leans heavily on romantic tension and betrayal to drive forward momentum. Rather than remaining a passive damsel, Clara uses her knowledge of future business deals, corporate takeovers, and political scandals to earn Alexander’s trust. In turn, Falcone offers Clara total protection and the muscle necessary to dismantle Julian’s corporate ambitions. The dynamic is fundamentally reciprocal, elevating the story beyond simple wish-fulfillment into a tactical corporate-underworld thriller.
