The Real Story Behind Glen Powell's Role in 'Twisters' and His Rescue Pup
Introducing an energetic puppy into an active, multi-million-dollar studio set carries obvious operational risks. Heavy machinery, electrical cables, pyrotechnic wiring, and moving pursuit vehicles fill every corridor of a disaster film set. Powell quickly established a routine to ensure the puppy stayed out of harm's way, keeping Brisket primarily in basecamp trailers or nestled inside his jacket between rehearsals.
The entire ensemble embraced the newcomer. Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos routinely took turns puppy-sitting while Powell shot intense vehicle sequences. Crew members dealing with grueling 14-hour days in high humidity found an unexpected source of decompression. Brisket effectively served as an informal therapy animal during some of the most logistically exhausting weeks of the shoot.
