While Karim ascended to European superstardom, his three brothers, Farid, Gressy, and Sabri, navigated life in the shadows of his escalating fame. Both Gressy and Sabri showed early aptitude on the pitch, leading to persistent speculation that another Benzema prodigy was emerging through the French football pyramid.

Gressy Benzema, born in 1992, generated substantial local interest across the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes amateur circuits. A forward who mirrored Karim's physical gait and technical touch, Gressy turned out for regional clubs including SC Bron Terraillon, FC Vaulx-en-Velin, and AS Saint-Priest. Despite brief trials and internet rumors linking him to professional academies, Gressy's career stalled in the Championnat National 3 level due to recurring injuries and the relentless public pressure of living up to Karim’s standards.

Sabri Benzema experienced a similar dynamic. Possessing an uncanny facial resemblance to Karim, Sabri became an overnight internet sensation whenever amateur match footage surfaced online. Supporters regularly swarmed local fifth-tier matches in Lyon just to catch a glimpse of what they presumed was Karim's natural successor. Sabri quietly withdrew from competitive league football by his mid-twenties, redirecting his energy toward private business interests and community development in Lyon.

Farid Benzema, the eldest brother, chose an even quieter path. Rather than pursuing competitive sports, Farid functioned as an emotional anchor during Karim’s rocky early years in Madrid, frequently traveling to Spain to maintain domestic stability for the striker during the physical demands of La Liga.
