The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten English Dub: Cast List, Episodes, and Audio Proof
By James H. Sterling
The silence broke on July 13, 2026, when Crunchyroll confirmed the English dub cast and crew for the first season. Dub director assignments, ADR scriptwriters, and recording engineers were locked in at the platform’s primary Texas and remote recording facilities. Localizing a dialogue-heavy romantic comedy presents unique hurdles. The source material depends almost entirely on subtle vocal inflections, understated banter, and domestic realism rather than explosive set pieces.
Audio engineers preserved the gentle acoustic atmosphere of the original Japanese tracks. Background Foley effects, sizzling skillets, rainfall hitting asphalt, apartment door latches, were balanced carefully behind naturalistic dialogue deliveries. The adaptation team minimized exaggerated American slang, opting for conversational English that matches Amane's guarded shyness and Mahiru's poised, carefully rehearsed schoolyard demeanor.
