Skrillex’s Just Dance Journey: the Complete Timeline of Rock N’ Roll in Rhythm Gaming
By Sarah Jenkins
Q1: Is Skrillex's "Rock n' Roll" playable on modern consoles today?
A1: Yes, but availability depends on the game version you use. It is permanently playable on physical copies of Just Dance 4 (Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3). On modern platforms like Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, it requires an active subscription where the track is currently rotated into the catalog, or through the mobile-based Just Dance Now.
Q2: How do you unlock the Extreme Version of the routine?
A2: On the original Just Dance 4 release, the Extreme routine was unlocked by earning sufficient Mojo points through standard gameplay. In streaming platforms like Just Dance Unlimited, both the Classic and Extreme maps are typically selected directly from the song menu if available in that region's catalog.
Q3: Did Skrillex have other songs featured in the Just Dance series?
A3: While "Rock n' Roll (Will Take You to the Mountain)" remains his most famous solo credit in the main franchise, Moore's production work and collaborations, including tracks with Diplo under the Jack Ü moniker, have appeared in various entries and spin-offs over the years.
