Pinedale Aquatic Center Seasonal Schedule and Program Changes
Coordinated athletics for local children represent one of the district's most critical public services. Swim lessons follow American Red Cross curriculum standards, organized into six progressive tiers spanning Parent-and-Child water acclimation up through advanced stroke technique and endurance. To accommodate working parents, classes run in focused four-week seasonal blocks during weekday afternoons, with an intensive Saturday morning track.
Beyond the pools, youth sports programs shift dynamically with the seasons:
Early winter focuses on fundamental indoor basketball and instructional tumbling clinics for elementary school grades. By late winter and early spring, programming transitions to indoor soccer, volleyball skill development, and introductory climbing camps. The facility coordinates closely with the local school district, ensuring that public recreation calendars do not conflict with middle school and high school interscholastic leagues.
Summer sessions reverse this workflow. When outdoor conditions improve, the facility launches outdoor youth recreation camps, incorporating mountain safety, fly fishing fundamentals, and outdoor trail skills alongside morning pool time.
