Salem Cross Inn Event Spotlight: 2026 Prom Season Ushers in Busy Spring Calendar
The foundation of Salem Cross Inn sits on an expansive parcel settled in the early 18th century. Constructed circa 1705 by the White family, the central 18th-century farmhouse and adjoining post-and-beam barns were rescued from dereliction in the 1950s by the Salem family, who restored the complex by hand over several decades.
Today, the property operates as a dual working farm and commercial hospitality venue. Black Angus cattle graze on the upper hills, while fields below supply fresh seasonal produce to the kitchen during peak harvest months. The physical footprint creates distinct operational advantages: guests attending an evening banquet sit within hand-hewn chestnut beams and historic fireplaces rather than modern drywall partitions.
