Decoding Your Webgrants 4 Students Dashboard: What Every Status Indicator Actually Means
By Chloe Bennett
Q1: Why does WebGrants 4 Students show an award amount, but my campus bill lists zero financial aid?
A1: Your university has either not yet pulled the latest weekly roster from CSAC, or your award is attached to a different campus code. Check your WebGrants school assignment first. If the school listed matches your enrolled campus, your financial aid office is likely processing their scheduled batch updates. Request a temporary tuition fee deferral from your campus bursar while processing completes.
Q2: How do I complete my high school graduation confirmation?
A2: Sign in to your CSAC portal, locate the prominent alert icon labeled "High School Graduation Confirmation," select your official graduation date, certify the truthfulness of the statement under penalty of perjury, and submit the digital confirmation. The system clears the verification hold immediately upon submission.
Q3: What should I do if my school missed the March 2 GPA verification deadline?
A3: If your high school failed to upload your academic record on time, file a Cal Grant Appeals form with CSAC alongside an official, sealed transcript. You must submit your appeal quickly, explicitly noting school administrative error as the reason for late delivery. Community college students who missed March 2 also qualify for the secondary competitive deadline on September 2.
Q4: Can I receive both a Cal Grant and a Middle Class Scholarship at the same time?
A4: You can qualify for both programs simultaneously, but total award allocations adjust based on financial need. The Middle Class Scholarship acts as a supplemental gap fund. If your Cal Grant A or B award already covers 100% of your systemwide mandatory tuition and fees, your MCS payout will drop to zero because your direct institutional fee burden is already resolved.
