Ole Miss Gameday Parking & Shuttle Survival Guide: Lot Access, Shuttles, and Traffic Rules
The ten-acre canopy of oak and elm trees known as The Grove draws tens of thousands of revelers every home weekend. Setting up under the oaks requires adhering to strict university timelines. The Grove tailgating access officially opens at 7:00 PM on Friday evenings. At the sound of the campus horn, fans and commercial setup companies rush onto the grounds to claim plots.
Motor vehicles cannot enter Grove Loop, University Avenue, or Circle Drive during setup windows. Fans carrying heavy tents, generators, and coolers must park briefly in staging lanes on peripheral streets, haul supplies by wagon or hand cart, and vacate loading areas within 15 minutes. Campus safety officers enforce loading zones aggressively. Tents erected before the official opening horn are promptly tagged and removed by physical plant crews.
On game day itself, vehicles are barred from the perimeter of The Grove entirely. Tailgaters who arrive on Saturday morning must roll their gear on foot from outer lots or rely on licensed drop-off shuttles operating along the southern fringe of campus.
