New Privacy Controls Rolled out: How to Erase Your Search History Under Latest Updates
Managing an iPhone search history demands a different operational workflow. Apple embeds Safari’s core configuration into the iOS system settings rather than inside the browser application itself. Erasing these records requires navigating through the root preferences menu.
Open the primary iOS Settings app, scroll down to the Safari entry, and locate Clear History and Website Data. Recent operating system updates introduced granular timeframe controls, allowing users to wipe the last hour, today, today and yesterday, or all history. To eliminate persistent analytics beacons, select All History and verify that the switch marked Close All Tabs is active.
Clearing mobile Safari purges records across every hardware device authenticated to your Apple Account, including synced iPads and Mac computers. If you notice specific websites continuing to auto-suggest in the address field, launch Safari, tap the Bookmarks icon, open the Reading List tab, and verify that lingering offline cache caches have not been saved locally.
