Lone Star Rally 2025 News Bulletin: Latest Schedule Updates and Route Alerts
The city's traffic management office has issued detailed route closures and detours to isolate rally pedestrian traffic from commercial port freight. Beginning at 6:00 AM on Wednesday, November 5, Harborside Drive will experience lane restrictions, while The Strand Historic District transforms into a pedestrian and motorcycle-only thoroughfare.
Mechanized traffic is barred from 20th Street to 25th Street along Strand and Mechanic streets, creating a contiguous corridor for displays and pedestrian foot traffic. Cross-island motorists traveling east-west must divert to Broadway Avenue (State Highway 87), which remains open to regular vehicle traffic throughout the rally. On the Gulf side, Seawall Boulevard will restrict westbound vehicular traffic between 19th Street and 25th Street, converting the oceanside lanes into dedicated, angled motorcycle parking and vendor display zones.
