Liz Dueweke Career Timeline: from Pacific Northwest Anchor to Fox 32 Chicago's Roster
By Marcus Vance
Following her long Seattle chapter, Dueweke made a notable cross-country transition in August 2023, signing on as the newest KFOX14 anchor in El Paso, Texas. The move surprised some Northwest viewers who associated her exclusively with Puget Sound broadcasting. Yet the El Paso market presented an entirely distinct journalistic rhythm.
At KFOX14, Dueweke anchored evening broadcasts in a bilingual, binational border region characterized by intricate federal policy debates, military affairs tied to Fort Bliss, and intense regional civic issues. The assignment broadened her reporting scope beyond the tech-heavy corridors of the Northwest. Her time in Texas served as an effective bridge, proving her adaptability across contrasting media regions before an opening emerged inside Fox Television Stations' owned-and-operated flagship group in Chicago.
