What makes Horan uniquely effective as she enters this new chapter is her complete tactical skillset. Many midfielders rely either on athletic running or stationary passing; Horan excels across both dimensions.

• Standing 5-foot-9, Horan possesses an elite aerial success rate on set pieces. Her timing and jumping reach make her a defensive asset on set pieces and a constant offensive target in the penalty box.
• Line-Breaking Vision: Having spent years as a pure striker, Horan reads the runs of forward lines before defenders recognize them. She consistently delivers long-range through-balls and weighted diagonal passes that turn defensive turnovers into immediate goal-scoring chances.
• Physical Shielding and Tempo Control: Her training in the physical leagues of France and the high-pressing NWSL taught her to use her body to draw fouls, relieve pressure, and dictate match tempo. Whether operating as an attacking number eight or a deep-lying number six, she manages the flow of the match.

Her presence on the field for Denver Summit FC will relieve pressure on younger teammates, allowing manager-led tactical systems to operate with an experienced on-field general.
