When authenticating any Labubu plush or vinyl figure, count the fangs first. A genuine Labubu has exactly nine pointed teeth running across its wide, devious grin.
Lung purposefully designed the character with this asymmetrical, serrated pattern. Authentic figures present the teeth molded with crisp definition, sharp tips, and a uniform creamy-white finish. The mouth interior features a subtle, clean paint line that separates the gums from the teeth without messy color bleed.
Counterfeiters churning out "Lafufu" plush keychains frequently botch this anatomical signature. Bootleg dolls often surface with eight, ten, or twelve teeth, crammed haphazardly along the jawline. In low-grade fakes, the teeth appear rounded like corn kernels rather than razor-sharp fangs. If the plush toy in your hand features ten teeth, or if the paint pools over the gums, you are holding a counterfeit.
