Kento Yamazaki Dating Fact-Check: Breakup Reality, Co-Star Rumors, and What's Verified
By Elena Rostova
Yamazaki's dating history has consistently been shaped by professional proximity. The most enduring example is his professional partnership with Tao Tsuchiya. Having starred together in the high-school drama Orange, the NHK morning drama Mare, and global phenomenon Alice in Borderland, the pair became one of the most celebrated on-screen duos in modern Japanese media. Fans frequently conflated intense character camaraderie with off-screen romance.
The rumor collapsed decisively when Tsuchiya announced her marriage and pregnancy with GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE vocalist Ryota Katayose in January 2023. Tsuchiya and Yamazaki’s actual dynamic was that of trusted industry colleagues whose careers developed in parallel. Similar unverified rumors surfaced regarding co-stars Mirei Kiritani and Nana Komatsu, proving that casual viewers consistently struggle to separate Yamazaki's romantic fiction from his quiet off-camera reality.
