Q1: Why did María José stop performing full-time with Kabah?
A1: María José launched an exceptionally successful solo career starting in 2007, earning multiple gold and platinum records. Because of her demanding solo touring schedules and recording commitments, she participates in Kabah concerts only for select special events and anniversary celebrations.
Q2: Who originally wrote Kabah's biggest hit, "La Calle de las Sirenas"?
A2: The song was written by the members of Kabah themselves alongside producer Memo Méndez Guiú. Their active role in songwriting set them apart from many contemporary pop acts of the 1990s.
Q3: How many original members are actively performing in the current Kabah lineup?
A3: Five of the original six members tour actively together: Federica Quijano, Apio Quijano, Daniela Magún, René Ortiz, and Sergio O'Farrill. María José joins occasionally as a guest performer.
