John Force's Eldest Daughter Adria Force Hight Dies at 56: Inside the Tragic Loss Shaking the Nhra Dynasty
Public perceptions of the John Force family often focused on his three younger daughters, Ashley, Brittany, and Courtney, born to John and his wife Laurie. The three sisters rose through the Junior Dragster ranks into the NHRA professional categories, starring in the 2006 A&E reality series Driving Force.
Adria intentionally chose a different lane. She understood early that an enterprise employing dozens of machinists, fabricators, and crew members could not survive if everyone sat in the staging lanes. Her younger sisters captured headlines, but Adria kept the checks clearing and the infrastructure moving.
The four sisters formed a unified operational structure across the NHRA landscape:
- Ashley Force Hood: Made history as the first woman to win an NHRA Funny Car national event in 2008, won back-to-back U.S. Nationals titles, and later transitioned into executive media and merchandise management.
- Brittany Force: Took the family into the Top Fuel Championship ranks, capturing two world championships (2017, 2022) and setting national speed records in excess of 338 mph.
- Courtney Force: Became the winningest female Funny Car driver in NHRA history with 12 national event victories before stepping away from driving in 2019.
- Adria Force Hight: Managed the organizational engine, coordinating team flights, contracts, vendor terms, and the corporate entity that housed all four competition teams.
