Jd Mcdonagh's Real Height Examined: Side-by-Side Photos and Tale of the Tape
By Alexander Ross
The personal history between JD McDonagh and Finn Bálor offers the clearest comparative baseline. Bálor trained McDonagh when Devlin was just twelve years old at Bray Island Promoters in County Wicklow. Because of their shared heritage and aesthetic, fans long labeled McDonagh a "mini-Bálor."
WWE lists Bálor at 5 ft 11 in. Multiple independent shoot interviews and public appearances alongside UFC fighters indicate Bálor stands just over 5 ft 9 in barefoot. Whenever Bálor and McDonagh stand face-to-face inside the squared circle, Bálor holds a distinct height advantage of about an inch and a half. That gap cements McDonagh’s real height at roughly 5 ft 8 in. Their physical similarity allows McDonagh to serve as a stylistic foil, amplifying Bálor’s veteran presence while letting McDonagh play the reckless technician.
