The short answer for South Toledo drivers is clear: the Heatherdowns BMV agency is open for business. Crews remediated smoke damage and recertified the state's digital terminal infrastructure within three weeks of the fire, allowing staff to welcome walk-ins and appointments back to the counter.

The agency operates under standard Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles deputy registrar hours:

• Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM, 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM, 12:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Visitors can complete standard administrative driver tasks, including Ohio driver license renewal, commercial driver updates, temporary driving permit issuance, and vehicle plate renewals. However, the physical separation between BMV functions and auto title processing remains permanent at this site. Anyone purchasing a vehicle out of state or signing over a pink slip must plan a separate stop.
