Is the Gorlock the Destroyer Call of Duty Skin Real? Viral Video Proof Fact-Checked
By Chloe Bennett
Once the video surfaced, popular streamers on Kick, Twitch, and YouTube amplified the rumor. Content creators thrive on high-energy, disbelief-driven reactions. Prominent gaming personalities loaded up the clip during live broadcasts, shouting in astonishment while pretending to open their own Call of Duty store tabs to check availability.
These reaction broadcasts generated millions of secondary impressions. Even when streamers admitted the video was likely fake at the end of their segments, short-form clipping channels routinely edited out those disclaimers. What remained was a 15-second snippet showing an influential creator screaming in shock over the Gorlock bundle, leaving uncritical viewers convinced the cosmetic was real. Comment sections quickly filled with bewildered players asking why the bundle failed to appear in their PlayStation or Xbox stores.
