Is Aldc Pittsburgh Still Open? Fact-Checking Abby Lee Dance Company's Status
The final chapter of the physical studio began unfolding quietly in late 2022. County property records show that Miller sold the commercial parcel located at 7141 Saltsburg Road in Penn Hills for roughly $300,000. The buyer was not a dance educator or a television production company, but rather an outside commercial entity seeking functional flex-use space.
The transaction ended nearly four decades of Miller family control over the site. Maryen Lorrain Miller, Abby Lee Miller’s mother, originally established dance academies across suburban Pittsburgh in the mid-twentieth century. The Penn Hills address eventually became the official operational base for the Abby Lee Dance Company, holding administrative offices, costume storage, and rehearsal spaces.
When the deed officially transferred, contractors stripped the exterior of the trademark black-and-white ALDC logos. The mirrored rehearsal spaces were cleared out, and the reception counter where television confrontations once erupted was cleared of memorabilia. Local zoning records confirm the building was repurposed for non-arts commercial use, shutting out public access entirely.
