Educational leaders have shifted away from viewing online slang as harmless adolescent rebellion. School resource officers and guidance counselors note that neurodivergent students, particularly those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), disproportionately bear the brunt of the trend. When a student steps toward a school doorway or answers a question incorrectly, peers chant the phrase in unison to generate laughter.

Parent advocacy groups point out that dismissing the meme trivializes disability discrimination. Several school districts in the United States and Canada issued formal parent advisories throughout late 2025 detailing the derogatory nature of the meme. Staff members now treat the phrase with the same disciplinary severity as explicit slurs, assigning detention and behavioral mediation sessions to repeat offenders.
