The core engine of these campaigns relies on Telegram channels that masquerade as private file hosts. When a user clicks a trending link on X, they are routed through three to five chained redirect domains to mask the original referral source.
Upon landing inside the target Telegram channel, the user encounters automated bots demanding channel subscriptions or invite quotas before granting access. Once those steps are finished, the bot directs the visitor to an external login portal designed to clone legitimate platforms such as Google Drive, Discord, or Apple iCloud.
Entering credentials into these fake interfaces hands sensitive account information directly to cybercriminals. In many instances, the landing pages prompt mobile users to accept invasive browser notification permissions, flooding device lock screens with persistent adult advertising, fake antivirus warnings, and recurring billing prompts.
