Nolke earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Toronto's York University in 2012. York’s conservatory program emphasizes rigorous vocal technique, Shakespearean scene analysis, and movement work. Those four years isolated Nolke from the casual, unscripted cadence of early vlogging. She treated screen comedy as a technical discipline.
Following graduation, she threw herself into the Toronto comedy scene. Toronto has long served as an incubator for North American character performers, running from Second City mainstages to gritty fringe festivals. Nolke wrote sketches, auditioned for regional Canadian television, and tested concepts in front of live audiences. When the pace of traditional casting proved frustratingly slow, she took complete ownership of her slate. In 2015, she launched her YouTube channel, then titled Feeling Peckish, combining narrative sketches with light food concepts before dropping the gimmicks to focus exclusively on character satire and dialogue.
