Hayden Christensen Makes Rare Appearance with Daughter Briar Rose: Live Red Carpet Recap
By Chloe Bennett
The evening took a charming turn during a brief broadcast interview when a reporter asked Briar whether she found it intimidating to watch her father wield a crimson lightsaber as cinema's most famous villain. Briar laughed off the question, making it clear that Hollywood mythology carries little weight at the dinner table.
"To everybody else, he’s Darth Vader," she told reporters with a grin. "To me, he just makes sure I finish my homework and tells bad jokes."
Her spontaneous Star Wars performance reaction drew chuckles from Christensen, who admitted he spent years delaying the moment she watched his darker franchise chapters. For Christensen, who experienced brutal media scrutiny in his early twenties after George Lucas cast him in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, her grounded perspective is a welcome relief. His return to the role in Disney+ series like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka occurred while Briar was old enough to witness his preparation, transforming a galaxy-wide pop-culture phenomenon into a standard family job.
