From Tiktok Sensation to Hollywood: Jorge Rivera-Herrans Lands Blockbuster Animated Movie Deal for Epic
By Marcus Vance
Q1: What studio is animating the EPIC film adaptation?
A1: While Jerry Bruckheimer and Kevin Weaver are producing alongside Jorge Rivera-Herrans, the specific animation studio partner and visual production house have not yet been announced. Production meetings and development frameworks are underway following the studio package announcement.
Q2: Will Jorge Rivera-Herrans voice Odysseus in the movie?
A2: Rivera-Herrans originated the role of Odysseus on the concept albums, but studio voice casting for major theatrical animated releases often balances original creators with recognizable screen talent. Formal voice cast announcements will be finalized closer to animation production.
Q3: Does the film adaptation rule out a future stage production of EPIC?
A3: No. High-profile animated musical films frequently establish the cultural footprint necessary to mount lucrative stage adaptations later, following the blueprint established by properties like Disney's The Lion King and Aladdin. The movie deal expands the property's reach rather than closing theatrical doors.
