When the For You Page becomes thoroughly saturated with toxic themes or sensationalist geopolitical disputes, localized user blocking must be supplemented by a systemic feed algorithm reset.
Executing an algorithmic reset flushes out historical watch patterns, duration signals, and comment interactions. To activate this setting, go to your Profile, open the menu (three lines), tap Settings and Privacy, head to Content Preferences, and select Refresh your For You feed. Confirming this choice returns your feed to an initial diagnostic baseline, displaying mainstream, broadly popular videos until your clean viewing habits retrain the model.
To eliminate specific content buckets permanently without blocking individual users, configure targeted text suppressions. Within the same Content Preferences menu, select Filter video keywords. Users can enter up to 100 specific terms, names, or hashtags. Videos containing those strings in titles, overlay descriptions, or audio metadata are quietly stripped from both the For You and Following feeds.
