Chiwetel Ejiofor delivered a chilling turn as criminal kingpin Victor Sweet. Long before his Academy Award nomination for 12 Years a Slave, Ejiofor portrayed Sweet as an eccentric, ruthless Detroit syndicate boss who terrorizes subordinates over restaurant etiquette and controls local city council members. His scene-stealing intimidation tactics gave the Mercer brothers a genuinely formidable obstacle.

Terrence Howard appeared as Lieutenant Green, a childhood friend of the brothers who chose the badge instead of the street. Howard's nuanced performance arrived during the peak of his mid-2000s surge, the same year he earned critical acclaim for Hustle & Flow. Alongside Josh Charles, who played dirty detective Fowler, Howard represented the fractured, compromised state of local law enforcement.

Sofia Vergara provided high-octane energy as Sofi, Angel's fiery, fiercely loyal girlfriend. Tying the entire narrative together was Irish screen legend Fionnula Flanagan as Evelyn Mercer, whose ghostly warmth and neighborhood benevolence justified every bullet her sons fired in retribution.
