Q1: What are the exact opening words of "SPARKING" in Tekken 5?

A1: The track opens with an energetic build-up leading directly into the hook: "Get ready... Sparking! / Burning like a flame, you'll never quench the fire!" This is followed by rhythmic guitar fills and hard-hitting calls to action rather than the somber narrative phrases often cited online.

Q2: Why do most lyric websites say "I'm here now, I'm doing the best I can"?

A2: Those lines belong to "I'm Here Now," the opening theme from Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Early internet aggregators confused the two games and mistakenly cataloged the expansion's lyrics under the original Tekken 5 intro music.

Q3: Did Kevin Dorsey contribute to the Tekken 5 opening vocal track?

A3: No. While Kevin Dorsey worked extensively on other Namco Sound Team projects during that era, the official physical soundtrack liner notes credit Tom Leonard as the lead vocalist for both "SPARKING" and "I'm Here Now."

Q4: Is there an official Japanese version of the lyrics?

A4: No. "SPARKING" was written and recorded entirely in English to give the game a high-octane, international cinematic feel. Namco regularly utilized native English session singers for fighting game intros during the PS2 era.
