Coryxkenshin Returns: Public Appearances Spark New Height Questions
By Sarah Jenkins
The disorientation fans feel when seeing a gaming streamer walk through a convention lobby stems from visual habits built over thousands of hours. In media psychology, prolonged exposure to head-and-shoulders compositions forces the audience to construct a mental model of the person based solely on voice, facial expressions, and surrounding furniture.
High-end ergonomic gaming chairs feature massive backrests designed to support head and neck alignment. When a creator sits inside one, the oversized headrest creates a false baseline. If the chair back extends well above the creator's shoulders, viewers automatically assume a smaller body frame. Williams frequently leaned low toward his desktop setup while reacting to tense gameplay sequences, further compressing his apparent height. When the Shogun community finally observed him standing beside average-height fans, where the global male baseline hovers around 5 feet 9 inches, the cognitive mismatch immediately catalyzed viral discussions.
