Playing assassin Skarner like a front-line vanguard will get you killed before you land a single hit. You cannot walk directly through mid lane into five enemies. You must execute like an assassin: playing fog of war, tracking ward timers, and approaching over walls using Ixtal’s Impact (E).

The execution path relies on buffering abilities cleanly:

1. Pre-Cast Shattered Earth (Q): Rip the boulder from the ground while traversing terrain. Do not wait until you hit the champion; you need your three enhanced attacks active immediately.
2. Engage with Ixtal's Impact (E): Steer through terrain, grab the priority target, and pin them against structural walls. The stun duration locks them in place for Hail of Blades activation.
3. Discharge Hail of Blades: Land two rapid enhanced auto-attacks instantly during the stun duration.
4. The Boulder Execute or Impale (R): If the target flashes or possesses escape mobility, snap-cast Impale immediately to suppress them. If they lack escapes, throw the third Q boulder directly into their face, executing them with percent-missing-health scaling.

If executed properly, the entire sequence completes in under 1.2 seconds. The opposing carry spends the entire interaction either stunned against terrain or suppressed under Impale, rendering counterplay non-existent.
