Capturing maximum savings requires combining independent promotional mechanisms that do not trigger anti-stacking blocks in checkout software. The standard digital checkout engine only allows a single promotional voucher code per order. Entering a 15% discount code automatically overwrites an active site-wide free delivery code.

Overcoming this limitation involves three coordinated steps:

First, secure third-party or holiday e-gift card promos. Retail clubs and warehouse chains frequently sell packages of Build-A-Bear digital vouchers at discounted rates, such as four $25 cards for $75 or $80. Because gift cards apply as cash currency during checkout, they bypass promo code blocking entirely.

Second, track the free shipping threshold carefully. The standard bar sits at $50. Orders totaling $45 with an active 20% off code drop to $36, but immediately trigger an $8 to $10 standard shipping charge. In that common scenario, the discount code actually raises the net transaction cost. Reaching the threshold using low-cost clearance outlet markdowns, such as seasonal t-shirts or miniature shoes priced under $4, frequently costs less than absorbing domestic shipping fees.

Third, take advantage of "unstuffed" shipping. Selecting the unstuffed option at web checkout flattens shipping boxes, reduces handling delays during peak logistics seasons, and preserves the interactive workshop ceremony for children. The family brings the empty shell to a physical store weeks or months later, where workshop staff complete the heart ceremony and stuffing process at zero charge.
