Angel Devil Figure Releases and Visual Design: How Fujimoto Created an Anime Icon
The manufacturing pipeline for Chainsaw Man anime merchandise initially prioritized headline leads: Denji, Power, Aki Hayakawa, and Makima. For years, auxiliary members of Special Division 4 were relegated to occasional acrylic standees or lottery keychains. Good Smile Company altered that trajectory with the formal reveal of the Angel Devil Nendoroid, crafting an articulated piece that translates Fujimoto’s deliberately loose, melancholic linework into three-dimensional PVC.
Sculptors preserved the key physical attributes that define Angel’s silhouette. The figure includes two distinct pairs of feathered white wings, one folded resting set and an expanded combat stance, alongside an elevated golden halo that hovers via an acrylic bracket behind his auburn hair. Collectors also receive custom effect pieces reflecting his lifespan-forged weaponry, specifically the five-year and ten-year lifespan blades summoned during the Katana Man and Darkness Devil skirmishes. The MSRP of roughly $45, $52 positions the release squarely within standard collector affordability, avoiding the inflated markup typical of limited resin statues.
